VOC Sample Preparation product offerings for water analysis include Purge and Trap systems that utilize proprietary and patented techniques for the isolation and concentration of VOCs such as those required by the USEPA to ensure safe drinking water supplies. These systems also offer automation solutions to improve laboratory productivity.

Static Headspace analysis is a time-tested and robust technique for the analysis of volatile compounds in almost any matrix. The popularity of this proven technique is used around the world for drinking water analyses such as disinfection by-products and other compounds of interest. By adding a concentrating trap to the base system a dynamic sweep can be achieved which greatly improves overall system sensitivity.

Tekmar's Automated UV Persulfate, Combustion TOC and TN Analyzers allow for a wide range of carbon and or Nitrogen detection. Whether the source be organic or inorganic in nature Tekmar’s TOC instruments can perform the analysis. The UV Persulfate system offers a highly sensitive Carbon detection range that is required for ultra pure water and drinking water alike. For higher levels of carbon detection or more challenging matrices such as those of a saline nature, high temperature combustion can be employed. This system also offers an optional nitrogen analyzer.
